Who this is for.

Awarded to outstanding gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender students, allies, or the children of LGBTQ+ parents who have worked toward equality for the community.

We encourage applicants to share their experiences, extracurricular activities, employment, financial and personal hardship, involvement in the LGBTQ+ community, and anything else that helps the committee understand you better.

Eligibility

Two things to qualify.

If both of these are true for you, you’re welcome to apply.

Requirement 01

Seventeen or older

All applicants must be at least seventeen years of age at the time they apply.

Requirement 02

Tied to Northwest Ohio

Applying to (or attending) an accredited post-secondary college or vocational school in NW Ohio — or a current permanent resident of the region.

Completed applications are due by Monday, March 31. The application portal closes at midnight on the due date, so give yourself room to gather essays and reference letters early.

If you win, Equality Toledo may use your name and likeness to share the news with the community.
